Public Notice on The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Georgia Transitioning to Cisco Webex Teleconferencing and Videoconferencing
Telephonic Hearings:
Effective November 15, 2024, for all telephonic hearings, phone numbers and access codes for these hearings will transition from AT&T numbers to a single Cisco Webex Teleconferencing number with specific access codes for each Middle District of Georgia Bankruptcy Court Judge.
For all hearings scheduled prior to November 15, 2024, the current teleconference numbers as posted on our website will be used.
For all hearings on and after November 15, 2024, teleconference participants will dial the toll-free number 1-855-244-8681 and then enter the Access Code for the specific judge’s teleconference system. The codes are:
Judge | Access Code |
---|---|
Carter | 2307 522 7612 |
Matson | 2307 593 3378 |
Laney | 2302 632 2056 |
The new access codes will be published on the Court’s website at the beginning of November with instructions that they are not to be used until on or after November 15, 2024.
The Court will conduct a trial run using the new teleconference phone number and access codes according to the schedule below. Users will have the opportunity test the new teleconference phone numbers and update their systems as appropriate.
Teleconference Test Schedule:
Judge Laney | November 4 | 10:00-11:00 a.m. |
Judge Carter | November 5 | 10:00-11:00 a.m. |
Judge Matson | November 13 | 10:00-11:00 a.m. |
Summons Forms:
The Court’s “Summons and Notice of Pretrial Conference in an Adversary Proceeding” form, located on our website, will temporarily have a version for pretrial conferences to be held prior to November 15, 2024 and a version for pretrial conferences on or after November 15, 2024 with the updated number and access codes.
Videoconference Hearings:
Effective immediately, for all future online videoconference hearings, the Court has transitioned from Zoom and will use Cisco Webex Videoconferencing. Webex Videoconferencing is free to download and use. It can be found at https://www.webex.com/downloads.html. The Webex client contains all of the functionality of Zoom and shares a similar interface with Zoom. Current Zoom users will be able to easily adapt to the Webex platform. As with Zoom, if you are scheduled for an online videoconference hearing, the Court will conduct a trial run prior to the actual videoconference hearing to ensure that all participants have downloaded Webex, conducted any necessary troubleshooting, and are comfortable using the Webex platform.
